What is Bloom?
Bloom is software that runs on both Mac and PC. It provides a rich suite of interactive visual tools that allow you to explore complex ideas, discover relationships between those ideas, and organize them into beautifully executed final documents.
Bloom is ideal for writers, screenwriters, novelists, students, journalists, investigators, scientists, researchers, grant writers, proposal writers, and anyone who deals with many individual pieces of information that must ultimately be combined into a final presentation.

Connect the dots, print the page.
Ideas can be explored spatially by connecting them and grouping them in a canvas that can be exported as a printable document or an HTML page. The connections can either be simple and recursive or complex and hierarchical. They can be grouped and nested or kept all at "surface" level.
Bloom provides a document builder that allows you to combine your ideas into a more traditional linear presentation not unlike a word processing document. Bloom even has the ability to export documents in the ePub format.

Time keeps on tickin', tickin'...
The individual or collected pieces of information can be assigned a time interval. This provides an excellent tool for representing the relative length of a section of the document. This is particularly useful for screenwriters who must consider length of time when writing for the screen. This is also an excellent resource for developing chronological timelines for character biographies or historical events.

We're gonna' need a bigger boat.
Bloom excels at iterations. Or versions. Or drafts. Or however you prefer to suggest "we're going to need many variations on this idea". The beauty of Bloom's core structure is that it's non-destructive and non-repetitive. A single piece of information can be "plugged into" multiple documents. Need to make a change in a specific data point but it's in 8 different drafts? No problem. Change it once, every draft is automatically updated. It's a brilliant way to try out variations without the laborious act of cutting-and-pasting and then trying to track versions.
